SilverFox Publications Mission Statement:

In 1994, I had a dream: To give people like myself (an unpublished writer of a number of years) a place where they had a chance. To showcase their talent, be they writers, artists, comic designers, poets, or what have you. And thus, SilverFox Publications was born, bringing another voice to the anthropomorphic community. And now, eleven years later, SFP is still going strong, and still dedicated to the following ideals:

1. To publish a wide range of the best new anthropomorphic literature and art in an affordable publication. Our community thrives through its art and writings.

2. To provide an accessible vehicle for new furry artists and writers. Communities must grow and our growth comes from the introduction of the new.

3. To be an independent voice of all furs in the community. Whatever your furshape, color, persuasion, you are one of us, part of the family. A community must be free to listen to all its members.

And so, given that, I opened the company to any and all people who wished to be contributors. So, all of you budding (or experienced) writers, artists, and othersuch, I open the doors to you, to give you a place to showcase your talents.

But.....

There ARE a few rules...

The Rules For Submission

All submissions must contain an anthropomorphic slant. The work does not have to be exclusively anthropomorphic (furry, shelly, scaly, etc.), but it must have significant content. Humans, robots, etc, are perfectly acceptable as parts of the story or art.
All work MUST be your own. We are are a legal business and cannot accept licensed characters from other companies, without express written permission. No exceptions. However, satire and parody (such as things that look close, jokes including characters as long as copyright has been designated, or stories whose characters are SIMILAR but not COPIES of various characters) will be judged on an individual basis.
We prefer all work to be a copy or scan of the art. Originals will be accepted ONLY at your risk. If sending text work, we prefer you to send it in .doc (if using Windows Office products), .rtf (if not, and formatting is important) or .txt format, or as clean typewritten text. Art should be 8.5x11” (maximum) if hard copy (our scanner has limits, although we can take up to A4 in a pinch) or scanned in .JPG or .BMP format (these offer the best adaptability for our formatting process). Files can be Mac or PC, we're non-denominational here.
Any type of work is accepted (with certain exceptions, noted below). The management and editors of SilverFox Publications reserve the right to place the contribution in whichever magazine we feel it is best suited. As there are three separate magazines, two of which are devoted to adult material, there is a pretty good leeway. However! We do NOT accept the following forms of submission:

Child pornography. Cubs playing is fine. Cubs yiffing is out.

Necrophilia. Ghosts are fun. Zombies are fun. Even vampires. Yiffing a dead thing is not acceptable.

Corprophilia - This REALLY makes us squicky. No poopie time.

Other than that, the individual editors (Silver, E'lantii, and Mykah) reserve the right to return any art or text they feel is unacceptable.
SilverFox Publications reserves the right to do minor formatting and editing to for the submissions in our publications. We are, however, not here to edit and clean up your stories for you. We do suggest you run a spell and grammar checker (and a couple friend's eyes...) before submission. We have been known to put a little white out on splotches on pictures, though.

But What Do You Get Out Of It?

You get your work, in print and copyrighted to YOU. SilverFox Publications will NEVER try to steal your copyright away from you. Note, this is a fully legal and recognized copyright, and SilverFox Publications will rip the throat out of anybody who tries to take it from you. (Or at least, we'll try and get whoever took it to stop).
In addition, you get the right to ask us to STOP printing any of your work at any time. Without any reason or explanation. We're here for you.
You receive a copy of any issue you appear in, free of charge, gratis, off the cuff. (You can also order more of them, at a reduced price. Just ask.)
You get world-wide exposure for your talent. Your name up in lights (or at least in computer-screen print, although we could probably make them glow, if you want. That'd be fifty cents extra, please...)
